Budkivskyi: I want to progress, regardless of age
1
Striker and captain of Zorya Pylyp Budkivskyi summed up the results of the season for the Luhansk team, and also talked about his plans for the future.
"Zorya lacked concentration during the championship. Somewhere, also fart. If we play more concentrated, more reliable in defense, realize more opportunities, then next year we will be higher in the table.
Many thanks to everyone who cheers for us. To those who stayed in Luhansk, to those who moved to other cities of Ukraine and to those who support us from the trenches. We should understand this and be thankful for it. We go out on the field to win and for you too.
A striker needs to score eight to ten goals in a season. It was possible to show such performance only thanks to the team. Moments were created together, together and realized. Everyone in general is moving on and growing in game terms. I want to progress, regardless of age.
I want to move on, improve. I will play as much as my health allows. Four to six years. As long as I have enough strength, I will play as much," the club's press service quotes Budkivskyi as saying.
At the end of the season, Zorya took eighth place in the UPL.
It should also be noted that Budkivskyi was recognized as the best player of Zora in the 2025/26 season by the fans.
