Manchester United Set Sights on Sporting Lisbon Defender

Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande has found himself in the spotlight of an English giant. According to A Bola, Manchester United have shown serious interest in the Ivorian. The release clause in the 21-year-old defender's contract stands at €80 million. However, the Portuguese club intends to keep the player at least until the end of next season. For now, the Red Devils have not yet made an official offer for Diomande's transfer. Recall that Ousmane joined the Lisbon side in 2023, moving from Danish club Midtjylland for €14 million. His current contract runs until June 30, 2030. In the 2025/26 season so far, the defender has made 31 appearances for Sporting in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
