According to Spanish media, the decision stems from his public support for Victor Fort, who lost the election to Joan Laporta. Reports indicate that Xavi is no longer part of Barcelona's "Legends Team," which plays exhibition matches around the world. The veterans squad is now managed by Alejandro Echevarria, a figure whom Xavi had criticized during the election campaign. Xavi Hernandez is one of the most outstanding graduates of Barcelona's academy. He played for the first team from 1998 to 2015, winning numerous trophies, and later served as head coach from 2021 to 2024.
