Goalkeeper of the South African national team: If you make mistakes, you will be punished for it

The goalkeeper of the South African national team Ronwen Williams commented on the match of the 2026 World Cup against Mexico (0:2).
"If you make mistakes, you will be punished for it. At this level, it will turn into painful consequences for you. I think the most important thing is that now we understand what we are dealing with, because we are not used to this.
It has been a long time since we took part in the World Cup. We lost in the score, but we continued to fight. We didn't give them anything to do late in the game. We also had some good moments. We will continue to fight, we will go further as a team and become better," the FIFA press service quoted Williams as saying.
The South African national team will play its next match against the Czech Republic — the game is scheduled for June 18.
