Rosenior refused to lead Nice - L'Equipe

0
Nice rejected one of the candidates for the position of head coach. As reported by L'Equipe, former Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior decided not to accept the French club's offer. According to the source, the 41-year-old English specialist wants to take a break in his coaching career after finishing his work at Chelsea. It will be recalled that the London club dismissed him in April this year, and Rosenior's tenure as head coach lasted only 107 days. Before working at Chelsea, the Englishman was in charge of Strasbourg, which is part of the BlueCo ownership structure along with the London club. Under his leadership, the French team worked in the period from 2024 to 2026. After the refusal of Rosenior, the management of Nice continues the search for a new mentor. It is noted that Olivier Pantaloni and Sebastien Poconoli are currently considered the main contenders for the position. At the same time, the publication notes that the club's owners from the Ineos company, which also own Manchester United, do not yet plan to sell Nice. An option with the arrival of a new investor was previously discussed, but negotiations with a potential buyer were terminated.
