Lyon is trying to keep Yaremchuk, but Olympiakos has its own demands
0
The future of Ukrainian striker Roman Yaremchuk may remain linked to the French Ligue 1.
The management of Lyon continues to work to keep the forward in the team after the end of his loan deal.
Head coach Paulo Fonseca and the club's sports management are interested in continuing cooperation with the Ukrainian. At the same time, negotiations with Olympiakos, which owns the rights to the player, are progressing with difficulty.
The Greek club insists on compensation of at least five million euros. For Lyon, who is forced to control costs, such an amount currently seems excessive.
According to the French media, one of the possible solutions to the situation may be an exchange of players. The parties are allegedly considering the inclusion of one of Lyon's football players in the deal, which would reduce the financial burden.
