Manchester City's latest bid of £121m for Anderson was rejected

Manchester City have made significant progress in their negotiations to sign Nottingham Forest central midfielder Elliott Anderson. This was reported by journalist Ben Jacobs for talkSPORT.
According to a source, the English champions are looking at the 23-year-old midfielder as a major transfer target to strengthen their midfield. Before the start of the World Cup, Manchester City approached Nottingham Forest twice with offers, but both were rejected.
The largest package offered by the "townsmen" reached 121 million pounds. The last offer included a guaranteed 106 million plus another 15 million in bonuses, but it also did not convince Forest's management.
Despite this, Manchester City remain optimistic about the successful completion of the deal. An important factor is the position of the football player himself. It is claimed that Anderson has already made it clear that he wants to continue his career at the Etihad Stadium, so agreeing a personal contract should not be a problem.
Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing, with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis personally overseeing the process. It is reported that the Greek businessman is conducting a dialogue with Manchester City on his own, without involving even the head coach of the team, Vitor Pereira, in the details.
