Undav repeated another achievement at the 2026 World Cup

The German national team in the match of the second round of the group stage of the World Cup-2026 over Ivory Coast (2:1). In this match, German forward Deniz Undav scored a double. Before that, he scored against Curacao (7:1) in the first round. This made Undav the fourth player in World Cup history to score in each of his first two matches at the tournament, coming on as a substitute both times. Before him, Ricardo Pelaez (1998), Memphis Depay (2014) and Alvaro Morata (2022) could boast of such an achievement.
