Ipswich have appointed Gary O'Neill as head coach

Ipswich Town announced on its official website the appointment of Gary O'Neill as the team's new head coach. The English specialist signed a three-year contract until the summer of 2029. The 43-year-old manager arrived at Portman Road from Strasbourg, where he spent a successful 2025/26 season. Under his leadership, the French club reached the semifinals of the Conference League for the first time in history, and also finished in eighth position in the French championship. Before moving to League One, O'Neill worked in the English Premier League, managing Bournemouth and Wolverhampton. In both cases, the coach managed to keep the teams in the elite division, finishing their first full seasons in 15th and 14th place respectively.
