0
Roma have reached an agreement with Turkish defender Zeki Celik to extend his contract. The new agreement between the parties will be calculated until the summer of 2029. The current contract of the 29-year-old football player expired at the end of June, but the club's management decided to keep one of the key defenders. Under the terms of the new contract, Celik will earn 3 million euros per year. In the 2025/26 season, the Turkish defender played 45 matches in all competitions. He has one goal scored and four assists. After the end of the club season, Celik went to the location of the Turkish national team, which is participating in the 2026 World Cup. Roma finished third in Serie A last season and qualified directly for the group stage of the Champions League. The team will start the new draw of the Italian championship on August 24 with a home match against Fiorentina.
