Rennes have extended the contract of Ligue 1's top scorer

Central striker Esteban Lepole has renewed his contract with Rennes, reports the club's official website. The new contract with the 26-year-old Frenchman runs until the end of June 2030 (previously 2029). In August 2025, the "red and black" bought the player from Angers for 13.5 million euros, while now the Transfermarkt portal estimates him at 35 million. Lepole became the top scorer in Ligue 1-2025/26 with 21 goals in 34 out of 34 possible matches. Esteban's excellent form is expected. The centre-forward helped Rennes finish sixth in the league and go directly to the next main stage of the Europa League.
