Brentford have targeted Jadon Anthony

Brentford are in active talks with Burnley over the full transfer of winger Jadon Anthony. Burnley left the elite division at the end of last season, but the player himself has attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs and is determined to continue performing at the highest level.
Despite Burnley's poor team result, the English winger showed solid individual statistics. Last season he had 38 appearances in all competitions, 9 goals and 4 assists.
The football player himself positively assesses the potential transition. Anthony hails from London, where he once started his career at Arsenal's academy. In addition, the head coach of the London club, Keith Andrews, believes that the winger will fit perfectly into his tactical game pattern. Burnley management are expected to demand around £20m for their player.
It won't be Brentford's first big signing of the summer, with the club already signing RB Salzburg defender Yannick Schuster for up to £16m (including bonuses).
In 2016, he left London's Arsenal without making his debut for the main team. Later, he managed to establish himself in Bournemouth, having been hardened by loans in Weymouth and Leeds.
In 2024, the winger joined Burnley on loan. Last summer, after Burnley's promotion to the Premier League, the mandatory buyout clause in his contract was activated for £8m.
The fortunes of both clubs last season turned out to be radically different. Burnley could not establish itself in the elite and will start its journey in the Championship on August 16 with a match against West Ham United.
Instead, Brentford had a strong campaign. The team almost won a ticket to the European Cups, taking ninth place (conceding to competitors only by goal difference in the last round). In their opening match of the new EPL season, the Londoners will meet with Tottenham.
