Leandro Andrade has officially joined Polissia

The press service of the Polissia football club officially confirmed the high-profile transfer — Leandro Andrade was added to the team. The attacking midfielder, who has dual citizenship (Cape Verde and Portugal), has joined the Wolves camp. In the Zhytomyr club, Leandro will play under the 11th number. Andrade is moving to Ukraine in the status of a real star of the Azerbaijani championship. During the years of performances in Karabakh, he became the undisputed leader of the attack, winning the title of four-time champion of Azerbaijan and winner of the National Cup. His statistics are also impressive: in 213 played matches, the winger scored 60 goals and provided 61 assists. The 2024/2025 season was especially successful for him, in which Leandro won the title of the top scorer of the domestic championship, scoring 15 goals. Newcomer "Polyssia" brings with him tremendous European Cup experience. The winger regularly defended the colors of his former club in group tournaments and in the play-off stages of all the main club competitions of the continent: the Champions League, the Europa League and the Conference League. In addition to significant club success, Leandro is an international player. From 2022, the attacking midfielder is called to the ranks of the national team of Cape Verde. In his country's shirt, he has already played 7 matches and was a participant in the prestigious Cup of African Nations. The football player did not make it to the application for this year's World Cup.
