Shakhtar is in talks to host Champions League matches in Great Britain

Shakhtar is considering the possibility of hosting nominally home matches of the 2026/27 Champions League season in London. The Donetsk club is negotiating with Brentford regarding the use of their stadium for matches of the main European cup tournament. Last season, Shakhtar played its nominally home Eurocup matches in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Krakow (Poland). As a reminder, the Ard Turan team became the champion of Ukraine at the end of the 2025/26 season and, thanks to the high club rating, went directly to the main stage of the Champions League. Shakhtar will start the new season of the Ukrainian Premier League with a match against Kudrivka. The base date of the starting tour is August 1.
