All pairs of the 1/16 finals of the 2026 World Cup have been formed

At the 2026 World Cup, the group stage ended, after which all 16 pairs of the 1/16 finals were officially determined.
The two best teams from each group, as well as the eight best third-placed teams, advanced to the playoffs. For the first time in the history of the World Cup, 32 national teams will play in the knockout stages.
One of the most interesting headlines will be the match between reigning world champions Argentina against the sensational Cape Verde team, who made it to the play-offs after drawing three times in the group stage. Also, France will meet with Sweden, Spain will compete with Austria, Portugal will play against Croatia, and Brazil will play against Japan.

The first match of the 1/16 final stage will take place on June 28, when the Canadian national team will meet with South Africa. The final of the 2026 World Cup is scheduled for July 19.
