0
The head coach of the national team of Scotland, Steve Clark, is no longer in charge of the national team. The Football Association of Scotland announced the end of cooperation.
The decision was made after the Scots lost their chances of reaching the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup. The team failed to make it to the playoffs from third place in their group, collecting just three points from three matches.
Clarke has been in charge of the Scotland national team since 2019. During this period, under his leadership, the team played 81 matches, in which they won 36, drew 16 times and suffered 29 defeats.
It was under the leadership of Clark that Scotland was able to make it to the World Cup for the first time since 1998. Now the national team will begin the search for a new head coach.
