The forward of Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team Vinicius Junior repeated the unique achievement of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo at the World Cups. In the group stage of the 2026 World Cup, the 25-year-old Brazilian was recognized as the best player in each of his team's three matches. Vinicius received the award after the matches against the national teams of Morocco, Haiti and Scotland. 🌟 HISTORY MADE at the World Cup 🏅 Only THREE players have ever swept Man of the Match in ALL group stage games: 🥇 🇵🇹 Cristiano Ronaldo (2010) 🥈 🇦🇷 Lionel Messi (2014) 🆕 🇧🇷 VINICIUS JÚNIOR (2026) 👑 Absolute royalty. At the 2010 World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo was recognized as the best in the matches against Brazil, Ivory Coast and North Korea, and at the 2014 World Cup, Lionel Messi received a similar award after meetings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iran and Nigeria. In doing so, Vinicius became only the third player in history to be named man of the match in all three group stage matches of a single World Cup.
