Belik headed the Shakhtar U-21 youth team

Shakhtar officially announced the appointment of Oleksiy Belyk as the head coach of the U-21 youth team. The 45-year-old specialist will prepare the "miners" for the 2026/27 season together with the new coaching staff.
Belik is a student of the Donetsk club and one of the most famous football players in the history of Shakhtar. During his playing career, he became the champion of Ukraine three times and twice won the Ukrainian Cup as part of the "Miners". The forward also played for Shakhtar-2, Bochum, Dnipro, Metalurg Zaporizhzhia and defended the colors of the youth, youth and national teams of Ukraine.
Bjelik started his coaching career in 2021 in the Shakhtar academy as an assistant of the U-15 team, and later worked with Shakhtar U-19. In 2023, he led the youth team, with which he first won silver medals of the championship, and in the 2025/26 season he led the team to the championship title.
The coaching staff of Shakhtar U-21 also includes Oleksiy Gai, who will work as an assistant to the head coach, goalkeeper coach Artem Tetenko and physical training coach Dmytro Kornienko.
