The youth national team of Ukraine U-19 started its performance at the 2026 European Championship with a spectacular victory over Croatia U-19 — 3:1 in the match of the first round of the group stage. The match turned out to be difficult for the Ukrainians, but the team managed to turn the tide of the game even before the break and confidently lead the match to victory. The Croatians were the first to open the scoring - in the 22nd minute, Ivan Barych scored a penalty kick, hitting the bottom corner of the goal.
