Ajax signed an experienced defender from Monaco

Ajax has officially announced the signing of left back Caio Enrique. The Amsterdam club reached an agreement with Monaco regarding the transfer of the 28-year-old Brazilian, who signed a contract until June 30, 2030. The football player was born in Brazilian Santos and is a student of the club of the same name. After performances in his homeland, he moved to Europe, where he belonged to Atletico Madrid. At different periods of his career, the defender also played on loan for Parana, Fluminense and Gremio. In August 2020, Caio Enrique became a Monaco player. During his time at the French club, he established himself in the main team and played more than 200 matches, becoming one of the team's key performers. Ajax sporting director Jordi Cruyff commented on the signing: "We are delighted to welcome Kayo to Ajax.
