Inter officially announced the departure of Swiss goalkeeper Jan Sommer. The 37-year-old goalkeeper leaves the Milan club as a free agent. Sommer joined Inter in the summer of 2023. During this time, he became the champion of Italy twice, won the Cup and the Super Cup of the country, and also helped the team reach the final of the Champions League. In the 2025/26 season, the Swiss played 43 matches in all competitions, conceded 42 goals and kept 19 clean sheets. Earlier it was reported that Ajax is showing interest in the experienced goalkeeper. At the same time, Inter is considering the option of signing Arsenal goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. Last season, Christian Kivu's team completed the "golden double", winning the championship and the Coppa Italia. Inter will start the new Serie A season with a home match against Monza.
