Coventry City have officially announced the extension of the contract of head coach Frank Lampard.
According to the press service of the club, the new agreement with the 48-year-old specialist is calculated until the summer of 2029.
Lampard took charge of the team in November 2024 and during that time achieved significant results with it. Already in his debut season, he lifted Coventry City from 17th place to the Championship playoff zone, and in the 2025/26 campaign he led the club to the championship title of the second English division.
Thanks to this success, Coventry City returned to the English Premier League for the first time in the last 25 years. In total, under the leadership of Lampard, the team played 82 official matches, in which they won 45.
The club noted that the former Chelsea midfielder managed to build a strong relationship with the players, club employees and fans, and also became an important part of the life of the city.
Lampard himself is looking forward to a new phase of work with the team and has already started preparing Coventry City for the upcoming season in the English Premier League.
