Manchester United is not abandoning plans to strengthen the midfield after two transfer...

Manchester United continue to look for midfield reinforcements, despite the club failing to sign two priority candidates over the past week. This is reported by the broadcaster.
Initially, the "red devils" conceded to Manchester City in the fight, who joined the "townsmen" for a record 116 million pounds for Nottingham Forest. Tottenham later outbid United in negotiations, agreeing an £85m transfer with West Ham.
The club admits that the high cost of leading midfielders forces them to act cautiously. Manchester United have no intention of getting into a financial race and are confident they are following the right transfer strategy, citing a successful summer campaign last year.
At the same time, United have already agreed a transfer from Atalanta for 35 million pounds. Due to the call-up to the Brazilian national team for the World Cup, the footballer will undergo a medical examination only after the completion of the performances at the tournament, after which he will also receive at least three weeks of leave.
According to the source, the Mancunians plan to sign at least one more, and possibly two central midfielders. Brighton's Carlos Baleba, Alex Scott and Bournemouth's Tyler Adams are among the candidates being considered, as well as Felix Nmecha, who is well known to the club's sporting director Jason Wilcox.
Manchester United are also continuing to monitor the situation surrounding Aurelien Chuameni, although the Frenchman is currently expected to stay at Real Madrid.
Despite the lack of new official signings and sales this summer, Manchester United remain calm and assure that the necessary transfers will still be made before the summer transfer window closes.
