Shakhtar appointed Malyshev as the head coach of the U-19 team

Shakhtar officially announced the appointment of Maksym Malyshev as the head coach of the U-19 team.
A graduate of the "Miners" academy, he passed all levels of the club system, was the captain of the U-21 team, with which he won the youth championship of Ukraine. After loaning to Zora, Malyshev returned to Shakhtar, where he became one of the key players of the main team. As part of the Donetsk team, he became the champion of Ukraine three times, won the Cup of Ukraine four times and the Super Cup of Ukraine twice. He has also performed for the youth and national teams of Ukraine.
Malyshev began his coaching career in 2023, becoming an assistant to the head coach of Shakhtar U-19. During this time, the youth team twice won the silver medals of the championship, and in the 2025/26 season won the gold medals of the U-19 National League.
An updated coaching staff will work together with the new coach. Oleksandr Voytovych became the assistant head coach, Yaroslav Stavytbroadcasteri will be responsible for goalkeeper training, Ruslan Kos will be the physical training coach, and Vladyslav Kononov will be the analyst.
Under the leadership of Maksym Malyshev, Shakhtar's youth team will begin preparations for the new season of the U-19 National League, in which the "miners" will defend the championship title.
