Why Juventus Can’t Shift Jonathan David: His Wage Demands Prove a Deal-Breaker
0
Juventus are trying to offload Canadian striker Jonathan David this summer, but the Bianconeri are running into a wall — and it’s made of cash. According to Tuttosport, no club has stepped forward with a serious offer, largely because David’s salary expectations are scaring everyone off.
The Serie A side want around €35 million for the 25-year-old, but interested parties are balking at his current €6 million-per-season wages. David joined Juventus on a free transfer from Lille back in 2025, signing a deal that runs through June 2030.
In the 2025-26 campaign, the forward made 46 appearances across all competitions, netting eight goals and adding five assists. Transfermarkt currently values him at €30 million, but Juventus may have to rethink their asking price — or find a buyer willing to match the wage bill.
