Manchester City Close to €1 Billion Transfer Spend in Three Years – Only One Club Spent More
0
After completing the signing of Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116 million (approx. €136 million), Manchester City’s total transfer expenditure over the last three years has climbed to £824 million (around €964 million). According to Sky Sports, that makes the Cityzens the second-biggest spenders in world football during that window. The only club ahead of them? Chelsea, who have poured in roughly £1 billion (€1.17 billion) since the summer of 2023. Anderson’s move also makes him the most expensive English player ever.
