Inter Milan refuse to give up: fresh bid for Chelsea's Chalobah in the works

Inter Milan are not ready to walk away from the chance to sign Trevoh Chalobah. The Serie A giants have taken note of how Como’s approach was handled — the newly-promoted side tabled a €25 million package including add-ons for the Chelsea defender, only to be turned down flat by the London club. The Blues are holding out for roughly €35 million, a figure they consider fair for a homegrown player who still has two years left on his deal. Inter, having studied the market and the player’s availability, are now preparing an improved offer designed to match Chelsea’s valuation. Crucially, the Nerazzurri have already made contact with the 26-year-old’s representatives. Chalobah has given the green light for a move to San Siro, convinced by the project. Last season he racked up 47 appearances across all competitions and scored three goals, underlining his reliability at the back. Inter are determined to push this deal over the line, but whether they can bridge the gap to Chelsea’s asking price remains to be seen.
