Real Madrid not planning to sell Vinicius in summer, push to speed up contract talks
0
Real Madrid have no intention of parting ways with Vinicius Junior during the summer transfer window, despite the prolonged standoff over his new contract. That’s according to Marca.
Sources within the club insist the 25-year-old Brazilian will remain a cornerstone of the team even after the arrival of new head coach Jose Mourinho. For that reason, the Spanish giants are eager to resolve the extension as quickly as possible.
Negotiations, however, have been effectively paused for nearly a year. The main sticking point remains the financial terms of the deal, with both sides yet to agree on salary figures. Vinicius’ current contract runs out next summer.
Real Madrid are not considering selling the winger and continue to view him as a fundamental part of the project for the coming years. Earlier reports suggested the two parties planned to postpone final talks until after Brazil’s campaign at the 2026 World Cup. Vinicius has been enjoying a strong tournament and is one of the key players for his national team.
