Riyad Mahrez is no longer an Al-Ahli player. The Saudi club officially announced the early termination of the winger's contract via a statement on social media, confirming his free agency. The club's management thanked Mahrez for his performances and contributions. The 34-year-old joined Al-Ahli in the summer of 2023 from Manchester City in a deal worth €30 million. During his time in the Saudi Pro League, Mahrez was a key attacking force: 122 appearances, 37 goals, and 46 assists. He helped the club win the Saudi Super Cup and two AFC Champions League titles. Earlier this week, Mahrez also announced his retirement from international duty with Algeria. His final match for the national team was a World Cup round of 32 clash against Switzerland.
