Ancelotti: Brazil Must Be at Their Best to Overcome Norway in World Cup Round of 16

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has warned his side that they will need to deliver a top-tier performance if they want to advance past Norway in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 16. The Italian tactician spoke highly of the Scandinavian team, describing them as one of the most dangerous opponents Brazil could face at this stage.
“Norway are a very well-organized side. They have good structure, technical quality, and an excellent game plan. Their attacking potential is remarkable, but they are also solid defensively and hard to break down on the counter. The midfield unit, in particular, is extremely strong and well-coordinated,” Ancelotti said.
The former Real Madrid boss emphasized that Brazil must show confidence and maturity after a tough group-stage match against Japan. “We have the belief in our quality. This is the moment to prove we can play our best football. We’re prepared for whatever comes our way,” he added.
Brazil and Norway are set to clash on July 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 23:00 Kyiv time (21:00 CET).
