Benfica trigger Kamiński release clause – winger agrees five-year deal

Benfica have moved swiftly to land Jakub Kamiński, activating the release clause in the Polish winger's contract with Bundesliga side Köln. The fee is set at €20 million. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old has agreed personal terms and will put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Portuguese giants. Kamiński joined Köln from Wolfsburg last year for €5.5 million. In the 2023/24 Bundesliga campaign, he made 34 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. The signing is another key addition for Marco Silva's side, who had already reinforced their defensive line earlier in the summer transfer window.
