Everton complete permanent signing of Tyrique George from Chelsea

Everton have officially announced the permanent transfer of winger Tyrique George from Chelsea. The 20-year-old Englishman has put pen to paper on a four-year deal that keeps him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2030. While the club haven’t disclosed the financial details, British media reports suggest the total package could reach £24 million. The initial fee is understood to be £18 million, with a further £6 million in performance-based add-ons. Chelsea have also retained a 15% sell-on clause for any future sale. George is no stranger to Everton — he spent the second half of last season on loan at the club. During the 2025/26 campaign, the winger made 11 appearances across all competitions, convincing the Toffees to trigger the permanent option. This marks Everton’s third summer signing after Hayden Hackney arrived from Middlesbrough and Merlin Röhl completed his permanent switch following a loan from Freiburg.
