Alexander Nübel ends Bayern chapter, joins Beşiktaş on permanent deal
1
Alexander Nübel is swapping the Bundesliga for the Turkish Süper Lig. The 29-year-old goalkeeper has reached a full agreement with Beşiktaş, according to Florian Plettenberg, with all terms now settled between the clubs and the player.
Beşiktaş will pay a guaranteed €6.5 million for Nübel, with an additional €5 million in performance-related bonuses. Once he passes his medical, the German shot-stopper will sign a contract that runs until the summer of 2029.
Sources indicate Nübel will earn north of €5 million net per season in Turkey, making him one of the highest-paid players in the Beşiktaş squad.
Nübel joined Bayern Munich back in 2020 but never made a competitive appearance for the senior side. Instead, he was sent out on loan spells to Monaco and most recently Stuttgart. It was at Stuttgart where he became a true No. 1, racking up 49 appearances across all competitions last season.
On the international stage, Nübel was part of Germany’s World Cup squad but didn’t see a single minute of action. Now, he’s ready to write a new chapter in Istanbul.
