The Istanbul giants have landed a proven Bundesliga and Ligue 1 goalkeeper.
Beşiktaş have officially announced the capture of Bayern Munich shot-stopper Alexander Nübel. The 29-year-old German is set to arrive in Istanbul later today, July 7, to complete the formalities and put pen to paper.
The deal is reportedly worth €6.5 million, with another €5 million in potential add-ons, and the contract runs through June 2029.
Nübel came through the ranks at Paderborn before joining Bayern on a free transfer in July 2020. With Manuel Neuer firmly entrenched as No.1, opportunities were scarce — he managed just four appearances across all competitions in the 2020/21 title-winning campaign, conceding four goals and keeping one clean sheet.
He then spent two seasons on loan at Monaco, featuring 97 times, letting in 126 goals, and recording 24 shutouts. His next stop was Stuttgart, where he spent three years and became a key figure. Nübel helped Die Schwaben lift the DFB-Pokal in 2024/25. Across 129 appearances for Stuttgart, he conceded 180 goals and kept 38 clean sheets.
On the international stage, Nübel made his Germany debut in October 2024. He has since earned three caps, shipping three goals in that span.
