Bayern Munich have officially extended the contract of attacking midfielder Arijon Ibrahimovic, with the new deal running until June 2028. The announcement was made by the club on Tuesday.
Ibrahimovic, who turned 20 in December, has been part of the Bayern system since July 2018, joining the academy at age 12. After loan spells at Frosinone and Lazio, he spent the 2025/26 season at Heidenheim, making 34 appearances and contributing two goals and five assists.
Sporting director Christoph Freund highlighted the youngster's development: 'Arijon joined us as a 12-year-old and has steadily progressed here and during his loans. He learned a lot last year at Heidenheim and is now ready for Bayern. His growth is a perfect example of the opportunities we offer our talents. Now it's not just about learning — it's about making his mark here.'
Ibrahimovic made his senior debut for Bayern in February 2023 and has four first-team appearances to his name. The new contract signals the club's faith in his ability to break into the squad permanently.
Earlier reports suggested Turkish side Besiktas had been monitoring the player, but Bayern have moved quickly to secure his future.
