John Stones offered to Juventus, Inter and Milan — but Serie A giants hesitate over wages and injury record

0
Former Manchester City centre-back John Stones has been floated to three of Italy's biggest clubs, yet none of them have made a concrete move so far. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the 32-year-old Englishman was offered to Juventus, Inter and Milan in recent weeks. Stones became a free agent on June 30 after his contract with Manchester City expired and is now looking for a new team. However, all three Serie A sides are reportedly holding off on negotiations. The main sticking points are Stones’ high salary demands and his complicated injury history, which has made potential suitors cautious. Inter had already received an offer for the defender earlier this year, but talks didn't progress. Now the same candidate has been put forward again to the Nerazzurri, as well as to Juventus and Milan. Currently, John Stones is with the England national team at the 2026 World Cup, where he has played three matches, starting one of them.
