Real Betis complete signing of Fran García from Real Madrid

Real Betis have officially announced the acquisition of left-back Fran García from Real Madrid. The 26-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him in Seville until June 30, 2030. Financial details of the move were not disclosed, but Spanish media report that Real Madrid did not include a buy-back clause in the deal. However, the capital club retained 50% of the player's economic rights, meaning they are entitled to half of any future transfer fee. García’s second stint at Real Madrid proved underwhelming. After returning from Rayo Vallecano in 2023, the academy product struggled to break into the first team on a regular basis. Competition on the left flank intensified after the summer window, further limiting his playing time. Last season, the full-back made 23 appearances for Los Blancos, logging 1,352 minutes, scoring once and providing one assist.
