Obolon signs Vitaliy Yermakov on a free transfer after Chornomorets exit

Kyiv-based Obolon have officially announced the signing of centre-back Vitaliy Yermakov, who joined the club as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Chornomorets Odesa. The 34-year-old defender will wear the number three shirt for his new side. A product of Stal Alchevsk's academy, Yermakov has previously represented Avangard, Desna, Kharkiv, and Chornomorets — where he made the bulk of his appearances. In Odesa, he featured 102 times across all competitions. During the 2025/26 campaign, Yermakov played 24 matches in the Ukrainian First League and added two more appearances in the domestic cup. His career now stands at 307 official games, with 14 goals and seven assists to his name. Obolon will look to lean on his experience and defensive solidity in the push up the table.
