Atletico Madrid Agree Deal for Morten Hjulmand – Fee Could Reach €45m

Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for the transfer of Danish central midfielder Morten Hjulmand, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. The two clubs have settled on a base fee of €40 million, with performance-related add-ons that could push the total package up to €45 million. Hjulmand is expected to travel to Madrid later today for his medical and to sign a contract that will keep him at the Metropolitano until the summer of 2031. The 25-year-old will become Atletico's latest summer arrival, following the additions of Lee Kang-In and Alejandro Grimaldo. All parties have confirmed the final agreement, and the move is now set to be completed imminently. Hjulmand recorded three goals and six assists in 45 appearances across all competitions last season.
