Manchester United Confirm Site for New 100,000-Seat Stadium

Manchester United have officially confirmed the location of their planned 100,000-capacity stadium. The club released the details on their official website. The new ground will be built just 350 meters northwest of the current Old Trafford. The surrounding area will be redeveloped as part of the Stadium District project, which includes around 15,000 new homes, schools, and hospitals. The masterplan also calls for major upgrades to transport links, including rail connections, pedestrian paths, and cycling routes. United stressed that staying so close to their historic home will preserve the familiar matchday atmosphere, traditions, and pre-game rituals for supporters. The fate of Old Trafford itself remains undecided — a final decision will be made later. In the coming weeks, the club will begin consultations with fans on the design of the new stadium.
