Newcastle complete signing of Ajax teenager Sean Steer

Newcastle United have officially announced the acquisition of 18-year-old Ajax midfielder Sean Steer. The Dutch youngster has put pen to paper on a contract that runs through 2031. According to reports, the deal is worth around €27 million including potential add-ons. A product of Ajax’s famed academy, Steer made 25 first-team appearances last season, scoring once and providing two assists.
