Míchel eyes Vanat as top target: Ajax opens talks with Girona

Ajax head coach Míchel has identified Girona striker Vladyslav Vanat as his primary summer transfer target. According to Voetbal Primeur, the Dutch giants have already initiated negotiations with the Spanish club for the 24-year-old Ukrainian. Vanat made 29 appearances for Girona last season, scoring ten goals and adding two assists. He joined the Catalan side from Dynamo Kyiv last summer for €15 million. Míchel sees Vanat as the ideal reinforcement for Ajax's frontline, but the forward is also attracting interest from other clubs across Europe. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing.
