Dynamo Kyiv held to goalless draw by stubborn Universitatea Cluj

Dynamo Kyiv were left frustrated as they played out a 0-0 stalemate with Romanian side Universitatea Cluj in a match played under floodlights. The Ukrainian side dominated possession but found the visitors' defense impenetrable. Mykola Shaparenko came closest for Dynamo with a powerful strike that forced a save from the Universitatea goalkeeper. After the break, Vitaliy Buyalskyi was introduced in place of Oleksandr Pikhalonok, but the injection of creativity failed to break the deadlock. On the other end, Universitatea's Mendi tested Dynamo keeper Volodymyr Nescheret, who stood firm. The hosts made two changes: Pikhalonok off for Buyalskyi on 61 minutes, and Nazar Voloshyn replaced by Shola in stoppage time. Universitatea saw Dramme booked for a late challenge. Despite their efforts, Dynamo could not find the back of the net, and the match ended scoreless.
