Mason Greenwood favors Atletico move over Fenerbahce's richer offer

Marseille striker Mason Greenwood has made his intentions clear: despite a more lucrative proposal from Turkey, his priority is to join Atletico Madrid. According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Fenerbahce have put a four-year contract on the table worth between seven and eight million euros net per season. Atletico, however, are currently offering five to six million annually — a notable difference, but one that hasn't swayed Greenwood’s decision. The 24-year-old Englishman is drawn to Atletico's sporting project and the chance to work under Diego Simeone. He already knows life in Spain’s capital well after a loan spell at Getafe during the 2023/24 campaign. Talks remain ongoing. Greenwood is willing to wait and see whether Atletico make a decisive move, even as Fenerbahce continue to push with their financially superior terms.
