Galatasaray reach agreement with Burnley for Ugochukwu

Galatasaray are closing in on the signing of Burnley central midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Turkish powerhouse has reached a principal agreement with the English club for the 22-year-old Frenchman. The deal is structured as a loan with an option to buy, which will become mandatory if certain conditions are met. The total value of the operation is reported to be just under €30 million. Negotiations gained momentum after Galatasaray improved their offer, and both sides have now settled on the transfer structure. Ugochukwu joined Burnley last summer from Chelsea. During the 2025/26 season, he made 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists. Only final formalities remain before the transfer can be officially announced.
