Arsenal Eyeing Return of Former Defender from West Ham

West Ham centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos is back on Arsenal’s radar. According to Sky Sports, the Gunners are monitoring the situation of their former player, who also has attracted interest from several other Premier League and European clubs. The Greek defender originally joined Arsenal in 2018 but managed only seven league appearances before loans and a permanent move to Stuttgart in 2022. Impressive form in Germany earned him a Premier League return last summer when he signed for West Ham. Last season, the 28-year-old was one of the Hammers’ most consistent performers, though his efforts couldn’t prevent relegation from the top flight. Now Mavropanos is a target for multiple sides, and Arsenal are among those closely watching his availability. Mikel Arteta already has William Saliba, Christian Mosquera and Ben White as right-footed centre-back options. Mavropanos’ current contract with West Ham runs until the summer of 2028.
