FIFA launches sale of turf pieces from 2026 World Cup final: prices range from $450 to $3,000

FIFA has started selling unusual collectible souvenirs — pieces of the pitch from MetLife Stadium, where the 2026 World Cup final will be played on July 19.
The entry-level version goes for $450. A slice of the turf is embedded in acrylic resin, with the tournament logo, venue name, final date, and a space for the match score printed on the casing. Each purchase also includes a USB drive with a video verifying the item’s authenticity.
The collection is produced by UK-based company Keep Stub. Besides the base model, three pricier options are available at $900, $1,200, and $3,000. Every tier is limited to 2,026 copies. If the full series sells out, FIFA could generate more than $11.2 million in revenue.
The top-tier Hero Edition features a larger chunk of turf, a commemorative metal ticket with gold engraving, a miniature replica of the final match ball, and a crystal model of the World Cup trophy.
According to reports, the grass at MetLife Stadium was grown on a specialized farm in North Carolina and laid in early May. During the tournament, the surface drew criticism from players of Brazil and France, who complained it was too dry and made playing conditions difficult.
Selling pieces of iconic sports venues has become increasingly common. Similar collectibles have previously been offered by NFL teams, Major League Baseball, and the NBA Finals organizers.
