Nottingham Forest join race for ex-Shakhtar full-back Dodo

Brazilian right-back Dodo, formerly of Shakhtar Donetsk, is emerging as a target for Nottingham Forest as his contract with Fiorentina winds down. The 27-year-old has just one year left on his deal in Florence and is open to a new challenge after a difficult campaign with the Serie A side. Inter Milan and Napoli have also been tracking Dodo, but the Premier League outfit has now entered the picture. According to reports, Forest sent representatives to meet with the player's agents recently, with the club looking to bolster their defensive flanks. Dodo featured heavily for Fiorentina last season, making 47 appearances across all competitions. He contributed two goals and three assists, but with his future uncertain, a summer move looks increasingly likely.
