Strasbourg closing in on Hugo Oliveira as new head coach

Strasbourg are pushing to finalize a deal for their next manager. According to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, the Ligue 1 side is in advanced negotiations with Portuguese coach Hugo Oliveira. The two parties are ironing out the final contractual details, and an official announcement could come soon. Oliveira’s most recent role was at Portuguese club Famalicão. He would replace Gary O’Neil at the helm of Strasbourg. O’Neil had taken over after Liam Rosenior’s departure – Rosenior is now at Paris FC, while O’Neil himself has since moved to Ipswich Town.
