Real Madrid Set for Fresh Round of Vinícius Jr. Contract Talks in Coming Days

Real Madrid are preparing to sit down with Vinícius Júnior’s representatives for another round of contract negotiations, with both sides hoping to finally put the long-running saga to bed. Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports that the meeting is expected in the coming days. The Spanish giants are eager to tie down the Brazilian winger before his current deal enters its final six months. As of January, Vinícius will be free to discuss terms with other clubs — a scenario Madrid desperately wants to avoid. Talks have dragged on for more than a year, but the urgency is now ramping up. The main sticking point remains money. Vinícius’ camp is demanding a salary in the region of €30 million per year, matching what Kylian Mbappé earns at the club, plus a substantial signing bonus. Madrid, however, have so far only offered around €20 million annually. Despite the gap, club president Florentino Pérez has no intention of selling the 25-year-old. Madrid view Vinícius as a cornerstone of their long-term project and are determined to keep him at the Bernabéu.
